    Ignition module or coil???

The coil will be the easiest to change out and check. Check the 2 small leads that are attached to the coil, there should be a voltage on one of them from the ignition mod. If there is no voltage, then the mod is hosed. If there is a voltage, then the coil is hosed.

    Motor/Trans Mounts

Mountain Off Road Engineering (M.O.R.E.) bomb proof motor mounts! Will never break, and are easy to install. Problem with the OEM motor mounts is they do seperate, causing the motor to "clunk" around, and if one is unlucky enough to have the passanges side mount installed backwards (or upside...

    Air lines

Be sure to use a air line that can handle heat! The compressor, when used for long periods of time generate lots of heat! This heat transfers to the air line. I went to our local "Hose shop" they supply lines for prettymuch everything from fork lifts to semi rigs. (DOT approved lines and...

    warn 8274

I've been running CJ-5 with my 8274 now for a good 10+yrs with no problems of overheating. Now, I don't have a stock 2 core rad. anymore, (3 core mustang type) with a flex-fan. My winch mounting plate is the huge metal wall warn winch mount. I kinda expected a little heat rise, but it never came.

    ARB Lockers (air compressor)

Carter Carb from my 88YJ You seriously need to call that guy back and tell him he's full fo BS! :x Unless you like being "bent over" Guy's full of it! Both ARB's will operate just fine with one compressor! The ARB compressor has a small (little under a beer can) sized air tank built in...

    ARB Air Lockers

Yes, you can connect ARB's to another air source. Just be sure to regulate the air to the ARB's specification. (i think between 85 to 90psi) I have an on-board air system using a old AC compressor and tank. Been using it now since 92' (ARB that is) Air system went in 1984? long time ago...

How good is the 4.2 liter?

Best thing for the 4.2 is the Mopar Multi-port Fuel Injection! A little pricey, but I can attest to it's ability to run on it's side! Stalling is a thing of the past whit the MPI!

    Arb air locker install?

They wanna bend you over the table! 14hrs? If thats for both axles maybe (that's streching too). I can have my D30 stripped in under 2 hrs! Less time 10yrs ago! (lol) and my rear axle out and axles on the ground in 1.5hr! As far as the locker install, I don't have the knowledge or tools...

    4.0 Harmonic balancer

Difference in the balancers is the new one for the MPI kit has many "keys" (for lack of brain cells now) cut into it for the magnetic crank sensor cut into it. The stock one won't have the "keys" I don't for sure why you wouldn't be able to use the new one. I have pictures from my MPI...

    Homemade rockers

They look real nice! I think just the plate's would be enough though. I can picture those on my jeep, causing some difficulties in tight spots. (but that's just me.) They do look good!

My 82' CJ-5 6 cyl has a REV rotation water pump. (it's also the serptine belt variaty) The stock pump should have the letters REV stamped on it somewhere ( can't recall the exact location, been a while since I dealt with it)
