Yea jeeps tend to do that, you work on one thing and something completely unrelated breaks. It sounds to me like you have no spark which is exactly my issue after replacing my transmission. Test for spark and go from there. If you don’t have spark trace it back to your distributor and then your coil. If you’re not getting any power to your coil you could have a shorted crankshaft position sensor
