what would be affected by NOT installing the extensions on my bump stops. I'm adding a TeraFlex 4in. long arm kit, I als ohave a 1in. taller body mount kit. :-D [addsig]

As the name implys you will have more bump! I need bump stops and just have not gotten around to to it. The metal to metal sound with out the pads or stops is a sick hard knock, This means it is going to at some point do damage. How hard do you ride when you are in the woods? Avoid the metal to metal contact when you can. Welcome. tug[addsig]

When i was installing my kit The bumpstops were not co-operatin with me so i decided to let them have their way and not put them in. Havent had a problem so far...[addsig]

I never put the bumpstops into my YJ and had some problems because of it. First, my tires went up into the front fenders and actually bent the fenders up because of no bumpstops. Second, when my tires went into the fenders, they hit the metal lip that the plactic flares screw into and have cut grooves into my tires. If my tires wern't new with lots of tread, I could possibly have cut my tire in half if it could get through the steel belt. I now have the proper size bumpstops in. They stop the axles right when the tire touches the fender.
