Wiring issue?

Anyone have suggestion on what to look for to correct?
Have recently purchased a 94 Jeep Wrangler YJ. When you depress brake petal the dash lights come on, the right turn signal arrow shows solid (not blinking) and the parking and side markers light up. Has anyone had this problem or idea of what would cause this?
New to this forum and any suggestion would be appreciated.
Thanks, Charlie

I had an issue with an old volvo I had. I'd step on the brakes and the radio would turn on, foot off and the radio power would turn off. If I drove with the lights on all the time the problem would go away. Turned out to be a short in one of the brake light cables. Electricity and circuits can do funny things.

It always do it, or just started?

the lights staying on is one of your bulbs. mine just did that a few weeks ago. mine was the front signal, in the grill.

for the other ones, i would check your grounds under the dash. like the ones by the emergency brake area and hte one just above your left knee under the cluster and light switch. there should be a little black wire that is held in with a screw, straight up in the metal panel just above your left knee.

Update... found and fixed problem with right front parking/ turn signal bulb. Replaced and problem solved. Thanks for your suggestions.
