Well...I'm finally getting around to fixing the vandalized window on my MJ.
I found the glass and the fly window assembly in the salvage yard...$45 for the glass and $35 for the fly window.
The problem is that I'm having a problem finding new weatherstripping for the window. I really only need what is called a "wipe set" which is the inside and outside bottom rubber strips of the window. (see below)
The Jeep dealer said he could order the outside strip for $36 (for only the left side)...highway robbery!
I passed on that one and found a complete set online...inside and outside strips for BOTH doors at Jeep XJ, Jeep Cherokee, Jeep Commanche and Jeep Wagoneer Parts: Weatherstrip for 69.95 +shipping. Seems to be a much better deal...but...my question is whether any of you Jeepz experts out there have heard of this company and if so, are they reliable?
Also, have you heard of any other reliable sources for older Jeeps weatherstripping? I've searched all the big named places online with no luck.
Your comments are really appreciated.
