Well I have some money (about $650)that I can spend on my Jeep and I cant figure out what to do with it. I have narrowed it down to 3 options:

1) Bestop Supertop

2) Set of 5 33's M/T (unknown brand) - currently running 31's with less than 2k miles on them

or

3) Flex-a-lite Electric Cooling Fan, Throttle Body Spacer and Cat Back Exhaust (to give my 4 banger some ponies for the 33's)

Im leaning towards option 3 - what do you guys think? Thanks for your input.

Well this had been updated to include a picture of the flexalite fan I decded on installed. By far one of the easiest mods ever. I think well worth the money.

I would have to say #2. If you buy the tires, then you can sell the ones you currently have and then have some more money to spend!! #3 would be good as well, but i'm not sure how much more power you would really get. If its power you're after, you might also want to consider things such as lower gears, etc.

That's just my opinion though

Lockers front and rear NO Question . Lock-rite's can fit that budget !
I guess lockers should of been one of your choices :)

Rusty's has a performance kit for about $225 ... K&N , throttle body spacer, and exhaust ... I got it about a year ago ($300) and got a good boost to go with the 4-cyl .... It really worked ....I'm still looking for more power though?

Thanks for your input guys. Just ordered my exhaust and the flex-a-lite cooling fan for now. THis should give me a few more ponies anyways for my 4banger. I plan on doing front and rear lockers at the same time I regear to 4.56. Though I currently live at the beach at seems kind of pointless now - though we plan on moving closer to the mountains this year some time. This is a good start though. Seems more difficult to part with money on "Non Appearance" items.

Rusty's has a performance kit for about $225

K&N- $35
Spacer- well under $100
Muffler- $60

i'd buy it all seperate

The fan is a great mod, not only for power, but for convenience

Sorry to budge in here but... Does that flex a lite fan make alot of noise? I bought one for my mustang a couple years back and it was whining so bad I couldn't hear my V8! I took it right off and sent it back. I never really thought of one for the YJ though.

I know you already made your purchases, but I would've bought the E-fan and a rear locker. You should have $40 left over to get a K&N filter and then just gut your cat and buy a Dynomax Super Turbo muffler for $41 at the parts store (i did) and boom, you got the performance mods and a rear locker to boot. Wish I had $650 to spend on the Jeep.

Sounds like a tax refund check.

Thats cause you had a DEER stuck in the grille!! hehe

I have only heard good things about the flexalite fans so I went with it. I have the K&N filter already. Currently dont need a locker since I want to regear with the 33's down the road.

We got a tax refund this year but that went to the wife and credit cards. This is actually part of my profit sharing bonus this year. We had 18%!!

I just dropped 450 for a front ox 500 for sye and driveshaft 130 for trac bar and bracket and 80 for ss brake lines damn this is expensive.

Yes it is expensive. Ya gotta pay to play.

Beachjeep , you'll like the elec fan conv. It will free up some power that you didn't know that thing had! Since you got the exhaust, I would recommend ripping out the factory air intake restrictor at the airbox and putting in a drop-in (factory replacement style) K&N air filter. That's the way I had my YJ set up and I happily ran 32's on the highway every day.
