they're still in line for the split in chitown. and hey, at least they're not at home watching the playoffs yet TC!

Zing!

Zing what?

In the words of Yogi Berra, it ain't over till it's over! Lest we forget last year???

Definately an uphill battle for the Bosox now, Chicago is a tough club with an unbelieveable lineup. There is, however, something to be said for playing at Fenway. Guess we'll find out tomorrow!

got my DUI today!

you of all people should know its not over for the sox until its over. they've got wake going tomorrow, and schilling if it gets to saturday. they were down 2-0 to oakland 2 years ago and came back only to lose to NY in the ALCS, and they were down what was it? 3-0 to the yankees last year? yeah i think thats right, what happened after that? its baseball, anyone can win on any given day, the only team who's chances are slimmer than lindsay lohan right now are the padres.

Damn...you are the first optimistic redsox fan I have ever met. a couple of my buddies are redsox fans and they have already gotten into the whole "Redsox blew it again" thing.

well, i'll be the first to admit they're not as good as last year. derek lowe and keith foulke were as clutch as can be in the playoffs. curt schilling had two of the gutsiest performances i've ever seen in my life, and pedro, well, pedro was pedro, and he pitched brilliantly. that said, the reason for the optimism right now is that they have the next two games at home. the red sox had the best home record in baseball this year, and i dont think its a fluke. when papi gets up to bat, that left field wall just looks so close. the white sox have the pitching to win, but the sox have the right part of their rotation coming up at home, and i think the white sox will have to deal with the red sox bats awakening at home.

a zing is in order now. terrible showing in the alds. and clearly, they werent as focused or good as they were last year.

Hockey's Finally Back!!!

Unless the Yankee bullpen step up way more than they have been they'll be watching the rest of the playoffs with the Bosox.

RE: Hockey

i'm pulling for atlanta at this point. usually i hate atlanta, but its just amazing what bobby cox does year in and year out. expecially this year with all the young guys he's got.

RE: Pics of Dripping Springs New Mexico (large pics)

No zinging until the Yanks pull off 2 more wins. I guess the white sox are for real. I dont know who I would pull for if the yanks dont pull it out. definitely would be an NL team. Couldnt root for LAA or the whitesox because of Contreras and el Duque

Although I don't follow baseball anymore (they lost me when they cancelled the World Series back in the '90's), I gotta pull for the White Sox..............they've been waitin' longer than Boston, and Shoeless Joe's ghost needs closure!!!!

RE: Gas Tanks

I think the White Sox are definitely cursed by the baseball gods for throwing the WS. The Yanks are going to will it all.

control arm?

I don't believe in curses or luck. The White Sox have got one hell of a team this year and they'll be tough to beat. If I was a betting man I'd take them to run the table.

ZING!!!
no more sterling saying "yankees win, thhheeeee yankees win!" this year either.

that said, i like the astros from here on out. they've got the starting pitching, and they've got as good a chance as anyone left to stop the cardinals. i really dont think the white sox will win it, i think the angels represent the AL. the way they beat the yankees, ervin santana was a godsend, and if their bullpen can shut down a team like the yankees without a lefty arm, they can shut anyone down. plus mike sciosia is one of the best managers in baseball. hopefully larussa coaches the cardinals out of another world series.

but like i said, i'm pulling for the astro's, though i'm not sure at this point what outcome would make clemens the most likely to come back, so i'll take whichever outcome makes him come back for one more year. but i also like them because of people like biggio and bagwell, consummate professionals who never put themselves above the team, i'd like to see them win one. if they can get from clemens/pettitte/oswalt to lidge, he'll close it out.
