I was waiting for that. Man David Wells pitched a heck of a game! I'd wait before getting too exited, it was thier the first game. Well we share first place until tonight...bchcky said:so, tc, how bout them sox?
bchcky said:i wouldnt worry about the yankees just yet.
hey, you might find this funny, i know you're a yanks fan, but you can still appreciate the humor, some guy calls boston sports radio yesterday and says, "hey, the yankees won 19-8 last night, we all know what happens after they win by that score, they dont win another game for the rest of the season!"
that said, obviously the guy was being sarcastic, and i think they'll win plenty more games this year.
you might want to check out your link again TC, i'm not sure it says what you wanted it to say.TwistedCopper said:

Pittsburgh Penguins owner-player Mario Lemieux said NHLers will almost certainly get a much worse deal in the soon-to-be-approved labour agreement than they would have got by accepting the owners' offer in February.
"They should have taken the deal back in February," Lemieux said Thursday at his charity golf tournament, referring to the last-gasp negotiations that took place just before the 2004-05 season was cancelled. "The cap was at $42.5 million (US), that was the offer from the owners, now it looks like it's going to be a lot less than that."
In speaking to the media, Roenick criticized the players union for not taking the deal the NHL offered in February and for ignoring the voice of a few players who stressed that the offer was better than the contract they are close to signing.
"The deal in February beats the (bleep) out of the deal we're gonna sign in July," Roenick said.
But Roenick tends to get more attention when he speaks out, particularly when he expresses his feelings about the reputation of the game and the players in the wake of the lost season, and his thoughts on the fans.
"Unfortunately, we had to go through a whole year to realize all the (bleep) that was going on throughout the whole year and not realize we just had to get a game on the ice," he said. "And we've hurt our league, we've hurt the reputation of our league and we've hurt the integrity of our league by sticking up for something that might not have been the right thing to do."
