RE: stalling problem

Tighter than a gnat's @ss?

Gonna be many a short fingernail in the east this year. The series that are coming up between these 3 teams are gonna be intense!

RE: new

Toronto isnt that far out either. I dont think they will be a player but who knows. Tampa Bay....well thats a whole nother story.

has power but wont start please help

so TC, how 'bout them O's? nothing wrong with having faith, but i gotta say i told you so ;)

RE: Jeep recovery gone wrong.

I was waiting for that. It pains me to tell you that I am pulling for the Sox tonight... but I am.

Steroid scandals, drunken pitchers, fired managers (that didn't deserve it), once superstars throwing in the towel, and a managing (more like meddling) owner have made a bad 2nd half of the season even uglier.

Yeah you told me so... although deep down I knew. Hey at least I had fun watching the pre-all star break run. Well there's alwas next year.

If the Sox can beat the pinstriped juice guys It'll be a little consolation. I was a Sox fan as a kid whaen I lived up there. Still I'd rather see the O's win the division but at least it wouldn't be the NYY.

the yankees already clinched the division because cleveland lost today. the scenario for tomorrow:

sox and cleveland win: sox are WC, cleveland is out
sox win, cleveland loses: see above
sox lose, cleveland wins: 1 game playoff monday at fenway for the WC
sox lose, cleveland loses: sox are WC, cleveland is out

so at worse, the sox lose tomorrow, they have a playoff monday. they can't be eliminated tomorrow though. i like the sox chances though, schilling, injury and all, is a big game pitcher, if you dont believe me, look at last year's playoffs. he didnt pitch really well last start, but he did have 8 K's, which is a positive sign. and the yankees have mussina going, who has been shaky down the stretch. i see torre managing to win, cause they'd love to not have the sox make the playoffs, but i dont think he'll strain anyone, especially in the bullpen because even if they win tomorrow, the sox still have to lose to cleveland on monday, so i think the yanks are going to just try to set up for the playoffs tomorrow. we shall see though, i'll be tuned in for sure.

I don't like Mussina. Not because he left the O's, I didn't like him while he was here. Taking a couple weeks off for a blister and crapping the bed when it's crunch time really had me disliking him. That said, he won a lot of games and it hurt the O's when they lost him.

he's a good pitcher, but he's not a #1, and never has been. everyone talks about all of his potential and blah blah blah, know how many 20 win seasons he's had? ZERO. while that alone doesnt make you a #1, it would be hard to argue that he's a big game pitcher either, how many memorable performances does he have?

ps - the yankees have started jaret wright today instead of mike mussina. they put their A game lineup out there though because a win would assure they get the first series at home, a loss and they'd have to travel to anaheim, so they'd like to win as well.

Stereo question

I guess the Curse is still on. The redsox cant hold on to a divisional lead again. The sox better have a pic of Bud Selig up in there club house and thank him every day for putting in the wild card. Go Yanks!

JK

Oh come on now "I Live For This" :)

I am really excited about the playoffs this year. This year the top 4 teams in the AL are actually in the post season. Other years arguements could be made but you had the hottest team in the 2nd half actually play on the last weekend to get into the playoffs (clev) and you had the hottest team in the 1st half get in along with argueably the 2 best teams in the MLB (Yanks and Redsox). All this being said, I dont know if I can handle another Yankee vs. Sox ALCS. Last year nearly killed me.

I can only hope for that to happen again. That's what it's all about!

The series was amazing I just dont think my body can handle the stress again. Oh man it was so exciting.

Busted rear shock mount

judge, it was nerve racking for me enough as a sox fan, but as a yankee fan, you knew how i felt the year before ;) it is what its all about, thats what baseball wants, i'm sure fans would love to see it, but i agree with judge, the stress might be too much for me to handle.

Re: RE: Re: Who

Ouch, the Sox will be icing down their gluts after the spankin' they were given tonight

they're still in line for the split in chitown. and hey, at least they're not at home watching the playoffs yet TC!
