Wavy windows

Does anyone else have windows that look wrinkled? My factory top looked good, but I eventually replaced it with a bestop replace-a-top (the cheap one). I thought the windows would even out but they never did. Now 2 years later it still looks like this?

My windows do the same thing. I've only had my new soft top skin on for about a month and it hasn't gotten any better.. Mine is also a Bestop with clear windows.

My guess is the material is not as snug as the factory one. On the sail cloth material, it stretches and shrinks. Wrinkles often disappear after exposing it to the sun for at least 45mins.

It looks like your rear bar is not up high enough to tighten it.From the pick it looks like the fabric is also a little loose.I would try pushing up on the rear bar to see if it makes a difference.

I believe the tj rear bar is not adjustable.

I think he's talking about the rear bar of your soft top frame, if I'm not mistaken.

Yeah, on the old CJ / YJs you could raise or lower the rear bar, but the TJs don't seem to have that option.

I haven't tried the hair drier yet, but it's been on there for two summers, so I'm not very hopeful. I think that's what I get for buying the cheaper top.

There may not be an adjustment for the rear bar,but that does not mean its not bent.I would have some one get inside and push up on the bar to see if it tightens up.If it does it may be time for new hardware,or time to get creative.

You can thank the sun for that. All the expanding and cooling from heating and cooling warped it. I don't think there's any remedies for it, I think only to replace the window. I'd just leave it and suck it up lol
