So about two weeks ago I decide to pull stock radio out and clean it because my CD player was glitchy. I noticed that both radio harness's (black and grey)were snipped and taped back together(previous owner was an idiot) Went ahead cleaned the unit and installed radio and noticed all of my gauges were down and just the other day I lost my odometer. I also noticed that this would only happen when I would plug the antenna into the stock radio. So I figured it was the radio shorting out or something. Now I have a brand new aftermarket radio and I have the same issue and No power to the unit. I am lost I have checked both fuse boxes and everything is good the only thing I question was the #5 fuse for panel lights does not register when tested but i do have dash lights.

I'd start by fixing the taped together radio harness. Even if that isn't the immediate problem, it won't be good long term. I'd verify the proper wires are connected and solder the connections together, wrapping them with shrink tube.
