TJ bumpstops

I just put 31's on my TJ and they rub a bit when turning hard. How and where do I adjust the bumpstops so the rubbing does not occur? I heard of putting spacers somewhere but I am not sure.

Thanks! :-D :-D :-D [addsig]

Not the bumpstops, but adjust the steering stops. Look behind each steering knuckle and you'll see a bolt head that hits the axle housing when the steering is at full-lock. Back this out all the way and put a washer or two on it, screw it back on. Adjust as necessary.[addsig]

The problem sounds like the rim does not have the right backspacing for the tires. The only stock rim that has enough backspace is the rubicon rims. Even the canyon rims are short by about 1/4" making the tires rub on the lower control arm. adjusting the steering stop will only limit you turning radius.
Wheel spacers can go behind the rim and make up for the offset but jeep studs really are not long enough for this and it is not recommended. Thats not to say it has not been though:)
