ok i got in a wreck a little while back, and am in need of a new t-case. i am also going to be putting in new axles and a lift (body, moter, and suspention).
so i'm looking for good options for a new(to me) transfer case. i don't have the money for an atlas or something like that(above mods and others). i'de like something that doesn't have a slip yoke (or has a really cheap sye kit), is extremly strong, very reliable, and readily available low cost parts should it ever break.
questions: can i mount a t-case that has the output on the opposite side it has now (getting new axles, so i can get one with the drop on the correct side)?
how involved would that be?
this is all going under an 89 wrangler with the 258 and an ax15 transmission.
i'm pretty easy on the throttle (finess over brute strength most of the time)
i plan on putting 36's on her, doing rock crawling and woods trails not too much mud.
going to do an engine rebuild for more low end torque and convert over to propane.
any info/ opinions (and why) is greatly appreciated.
