Spark plug wires

I noticed that my jeep was a little sluggish and would kindof sputter sometimes when i hit the gas, so i pulled a spark plug and it had about an 8th inch gap. i put all of them to spec except the number 1 cylinder. does anyone know of a way to get that sum b**** out? my fat fingers can touch the plug wire, but i can't pull it off. the return/feed line to the heater core is in the way and i wasn't sure if i had to take them off to get to it. its a 97 grand cherokee 4.0. any suggestions or input is appreciated.

A long neddle nose pliers works. Twist the boot first and gently pull.

ill have to try that. i thought about using needle nose pliers, but the last time i pulled a plug wire off with pliers i broke it and i don't have the money to buy new ones right now, even though it could probably use them
