side steps 97 tj

OK I got a question. Last week I was in the woods with the kids, (they forced me to do it). I fell through a puddle of ice and ripped my driverside step off. This was a factory step, does anyone know if the bolts that hold these steps on are mirror images on each side? I got some 1/4 in sheet alluminum threshold from a door jam I want to use for my own steps. and nedd to drill them out. to bolt them down.

Sounds like you 50% to where you should be, No steps! hehe JK
You would assume that the steps would be mirror images, but I know that on a YJ the factory steps have a metal bracket underneith all the plastic and those are NOT mirror images. That are slightly different. as for a 07 I can't help you any more than I already did. I would advise go to a local parking lot, and look for a similar jeep, see what it's got.

Those steps are worthless anyways. They look better without them

They are the same they suck though get nerf bars or rock sliders
