Rims for 06 grand cherokee

Howdy, i got a problem i have a buddy that has just purchased himself a 2006 grand cherokee. His question to me wa if he could fit a 15" rim on his jeep, it currently has the stock 17" ones. I did not have the answer nor could i find one for him on the net. I was wondering if anyone on here could help out with this question? Thanks

Yes you can replace a 17" wheel with a 15"granted that the bolt pattern and offset are the same, just keep in mind that you must get the tire size diameter as close as possible from the diameter off the 17" stock, as this will ultimately alter the shift points on your transmission, ABS engagement and if equipped with ESP, it may prematurely engage during turns.. this will keep your speedometer as close as stock without modifications. .
