Replacement Mirrors

Your oppinions please. I have a 2004 X with full doors. I bought mirror relocator brackets that are completely usless. They are basically "U" shaped, mount to the windshield bracket with the original mirrors. That moves them up and back so I can't see a thing with the full doors on. Not to mention that the doors hit the mirrors when opened. I've seen the mirrors that simply slid into the door hinge after you remove the door. Is this the way to go or has anyone had a good experiance with another set up. Thanks for any ideas or thoughts......

It's been previously posted and it's what I use (with doors off).....Harley mirrors. Harley mirrors differ from other motorcycle mirrors in that they aren't made to fit in a threaded hole.....they have a smooth shaft (which fits nicely in the door hinge) with a nut and washer on the bottom. It ain't real fancy, but it works......for me, at least.

I use the cheap Olympic Safari mirror that goes into the hinge pin hole. It worked on my TJ still use them for my YJ. I like 'em, they work well.

I use the sun performance mirror movers and like them (I did a writeup in the reviews section). If your doors are hitting your mirror when opened then you need to adjust your door straps. With the doors on the jeep, take off the strap where it mounts to the body and twist it 3 or 4 times. This will shorten the strap.

I'm worried about the "vibration" problem. Are they actuably usable on a daily basis for the road or just the trail?
