Cut door window frame off TJ doors?

Have you ever seen anyone cut the top half off the metal TJ door...the metal frame that goes around the window...to make the doors half-doors? Right now I drive around with no doors, but there are times when a half door might be helpful. I have the two original full doors lying against the wall in my garage not being used...should I make this a project? Thoughts?

I imagine someone has done this but half doors are lower then the top missing off a full door.

The helpfulness of 1/2 door to you is safety, security, or what other reason??

Have you considered bestop 1/2 door soft top doors?

i have seen a few people with cut off doors. they used to be full and are now messed up doors. if i got to the point i ever "had" to cut full doors, i would find some to trade because full doors are valuable
