Could you please explain the difference between all the j and whatever jeeps.
I have a 2007 wrangler rubicon and would like to know what it is refered to as, meaning which j or k or whatever

Thanks

JK is your reference. A TJ is a 1997-2006 Wrangler, a YJ is a 1987-1995(6) Wrangler, and CJ's before that.

Jason is correct. in other words, its a Body Designation. for example, A 300C and a Dodge Charger and a Dodge Magnum are all built with an LX Body. But Prior to the LX , it Replaced the LH body which is The Dodge Intrepid, Chrysler Concorde, And the 300M. This Body Designations will give you an idea of how old or new the Veh. is and the platform it was built from.

I Know what you mean Whitey, i use to live In the Philippines. its the same there. there was a lot of Mitsubishi/Dodge too.

You forgot a few Jeeps there.... SJ (super Jeep) Includes J trucks, Wagoneers and Cherokees (Station wagon on super steroids), DJ is the Postal Jeeps, M series (m715, m38 etc) Army Jeep truck built on the SJ frame or CJ2/3 type frame, FJ fleet Jeep Van thing(?), C series, Commando jeep thing, XJ Unibody station wagon on steroids, ETC ETC ETC

You get the idea... lots of jeeps and lots of Stuff to learn...
