How can you check to see if your rotor is warped?

I have an 07 Hyundai Elantra which is having some problems with the rear passenger rotor. It was squealing alot and getting very hot.I pulled the rotor off and found some discoloring on the inside of the rotor where the E brake is.It has disk brakes but a separate drum brake for the E brake. When I spin the hub I do here it rub the E brake pads in the area where it is discolored.Do you think it is a brake or a rotor problem.

Ahem, non Jeep answer. Shhh!!

It would be an e-brake problem. Check to see if there's an djustment for it. To verify your rotor if it's warped. Use a dial caliper to check the surface runout of the rotor. Chances are, the malfunction is the drag on the friction pad to the rotor.

Unfortunately I dont have a dial caliper.I did adjust the E brake all the way down.It does not seem to have a lock like a standard drum brake.May be time to pull the other side to see if a piece fell off.
