RE: new to jeeps....educated quesions from a novice.
howdy guys and gals...
new to the board. joined to research and gather information on Jeeps.
my girlfriend recently joined ...name is "snook"...since she is the one who wants to buy a jeep soon.
she's a bit on the shy side, but should chime in. i was gonna have her not tell you guys her gender...to alleviate any leg humping. but i figured if i came on and made sure you knew she was taken...it'd help
i'm not new to cars and wrenching...just jeeps. i've been a camaro guy from the get go. owned an 87 IROC camaro for a few years...had to do alot of work to it, and started my learning curve. moved on to a nice 96 Z28 with alot more power and alot nicer. modded that a bit but nothing crazy.
after i totalled that (flipped it into the trees at 75mph) i decided i needed a faster car. so i bought a nearly identical 99 Z28. swapped alot of the mods and added some new ones. recently added a cam to it along with all the other bolt-ons. had it dyno tuned on a slipping clutch and mediocre tune and got 382hp to the wheels.
since then i've installed harland sharp roller rockers, a new SPEC 4 clutch and lightweight aluminum flywheel. and this week i'll be starting my 3" true duals setup for exhaust.
should put me over the 400 rear wheel hp mark. which translates to nearly 450hp at the crank...on stock block and lower end 8)
