New Silverado.. now there is a truck!

Just bought this 2006 Nissan Titan. Puts out 305 HP and will burn E85. The most power in it's class.

I never understood exactly how they all come up with the saying, "the most power in it's class." Which class is that? If it's fullsize, then it doesn't outpower the Hemi or the Vortec Max. Maybe if they are talking about the most power in stock trim with no options.
I will agree that the Nissan is one tight little truck and will get on down the road. There's a guy who hunts with me that wanted to race my 05 Powerstroke against his 05 Titan. I said, "alright we'll do two runs. One straight up and one with that camper behind it. The fastest average wins. How much do you want to put on it?" He shut up then.

Little?....The Nissan Titan is anything but little and yes, they are talking about whatever the standard V8 is for a fullsize truck. Who cares who wins the race....it's a freaking truck. That's like racing Jeeps. A 4.0 will always blow away a 2.5, but it's still a Jeep.
If I want to race then I will buy a ricer and kill myself shortly after.:purple:

Settle down big guy. Is this better: "one tight lil truck."
In case you didn't notice, I paid the Nissan a compliment and I happen to like those trucks. The rest was merely telling readers how to put the smack down on a half drunk, trash talkin, Nissan owner down at the hunting camp.
BTW, (not necessarily me, but) there are a lot of people who care who wins a truck race. Reference the Craftsmen and SCORE series, Dodge putting a Viper engine in the SRT, Chevy with the SS series, Ford with the Roush Lightnings, Toyota with TRD and Nissan with NISMO.
One last thing, you did buy a "ricer," it just happens to run on Corn also.

I'm so glad I waited to buy a new truck! I think I might have to invest some of my hard earned money on that!

Vehicles are terrible investments...esspecially new ones.

Put your hard earned money elsewhere if you want it to grow :)

Actually your right, most vehicles are bad as investments.. however a CD at the bank or a mutual fund can't get you to work in the morning so you can pay your house payment either.

Also, used vehicles, say with 15 to 40 thousand miles are horrible to try to buy now, with the deep discounts and low interest on new ones, especially pickups. I started out last fall looking for a few year old truck with up to 40K and found out that I could buy new for 3k more.

It looks ok, but I'd stick with the Ford Super Duty for comfort and strength. The fully boxed frames as well as moving the rear shocks outside the frame rails made one heckuva difference in how those things ride and handle! It's as close to driving a sports car in a truck as you'll ever get, yet is strong enough to haul that sports car in the bed, too!

Perhaps invest wasn't the right word. I know new vehicles are a waiste, but if they could come out with something that's got decent mileage it would be worth it to me. Although, I'm probably goin to buy a used '06 since they should be poppin up now that the new body style is comin out. I love the Jeep, but ever since I bought my house I've constantly got a need for a truck bed bigger then the back seat.

Just busting balls. I am going through the new vehicle purchase myself. I just cant bring myself to make a car payment again.

Oh, and no one here is remotely close to rich (financially anyway).

Speak for yourself, ya bum!! I'm extremely wealthy...according to my last bank statement, I've got nearly $50 in my savings. Plus, when my mother passes away, I stand to inherit a cool $125!!! Rich, I tell ya, filthy rich!!!!

I don't know about it driving nearly like a sportscar. It's a pretty rough ride especially on old country roads. Better than a Dodge though. My buddy's 2500HD Duramax rides a lot smoother and quieter, but it doesn't feel nearly as tough as mine. The Chevrolet would be a better choice if you spent a lot of time in the rural areas. If you have to tow and haul a lot then the Ford would be the way to go.
