Hey so I'm turn 18 in and parents said I need to get a vehicle when I turn 18
Long story short, my spending limit is 50,000 so what kind of jeep should I get 2011 wrangler or 2011 Cherokee?

If ya want a sexy beast thats great in the woods manuvering around obstacles,I'd go with the wrangler for 22,000,and load it to the teeth with winch, extra set of tires, one set for highway and anouther set of badass tires for hitting the trails.Only draw back is there isnt much room in them unless ya get the 4 dr,but I think ya would be happier at your age with the 2 dr wrangler ,girls seem to like them. hey bro, welcome to jeep life.

wow wish i had 50 grand to spend on a new jeep only thing is it wouldnt be a new jeep id find a kick butt old cj-7 that someone had allready put all the goodies into for 50g's i could get a really nice one lol

Damn 50k must be nice. I bought an 88 Comanche for $500 for my first jeep and that was almost out of my budget.

yeah i hear ya there i paid 5000 for mine stuck another 10000 into it and it is nowhere near done if i had 50g's to put into a jeep man this thing would be so wicked

Hahaha I know where a red 1997 TJ is for sale!!!!! The owner might take 50 k for it I don't know though you might have to try and talk him down!!!!!!!! Lol I would have the baddest TJ in the country for 50 thousand

I haunt replied because I'm just seeing what peoples opinion to see what people think I should get.

what do you want? its not what we think or want, what do you want?

what do you want to use it for? you off roading or using it to cruise?

i will never have 50k to spend on a vehicle so i cannot help you there. i buy as cheap as possible and then fix it myself

for 50 k id send my kids to college first and buy a winch for the beast but in all reality just look around find what u want what appeals to u not to anyone else cuz in the end u r the one that has to live with the decision of what u buy im happy with the jeep i have i wanted an old cj its the body style i have allways loved and that is what i got and i wouldnt trade my cj for a brand new jeep if it was offerd to me i have to many memories with my kids putting it together and its something me and my kids can allways say we share a love for "the beast "

Well, kid, I'll tell ya . . . real Jeeps have Willys stamped on the hood and don't have doors:shades:. With that said, and I was getting a new one, I would pick the JK Wrangler RUBICON with TWO doors, NOT the 4 door . AND, it's a JEEP, (albeit a Fiat) and don't need a bunch of silly bells & whistles.

That's the way I sees it:coffee:

Wow, how could ya get anything dependable for that kinda money?

I gave $400 for my first car. You could pitch a cat through the rust hole in the quarter pannel. I learned alot from that car and the experiance of owning and having to keep it up and running. I think you should buy an old rough as a cob jeep and drive it at least a year. During that year you should have to keep it going on a shoe string budget, while doing all the maintenance yourself. Then you would appreciate a nice new one and carry the lessons the old one taught you for life.

Some of us love the mountains ,valleys, and streams so much that we get a vichicle that can take us to the heart of the wild country. Thats where I go to leave the man made world, with all its bright lights and the hustle and bussel of trying to get somewhere in society. It's my escape machine.that gets me out in the woods for a little bit of peace and quiet. Even if the darn raccons wake me up at 2 am cause I didn't put all my food away from the campsite, thats ok,makes things interesting at times.
Other folks don't hear the call of the wild,or are afraid of it.after all there is tigers and bears out there,go sleep in the woods, get dirty, hell no.Thier content with the safe smooth highway, and their brightly lit streets.
Guess there's a jeep for everyone, have fun with your new rig bro.
