Need help picking a front locker...

Bounty Hunter, Your rear D35 is welded? Have you had any problems at all with it, and is it still the stock axle shafts and everything? Also, do you have to take the spiders out of there to do it?

Yes, rear D35 is welded, with no problems over the couple of years it's been welded. Stock shafts and 32" MT's, now they're heavy TSL/SX swampers with lots of leverage. I carry spare shafts but haven't needed them, knock on wood.

The diff stays intact when welding the spiders, just lots of metal to fill the 8 holes where the spiders mesh together.

Yes, SJ=FSJ (Wagoneer, Grand Wagoneer, Cherokee, Cherokee Chief, etc).

I can say that the front and rear Lincoln Lockers have performed 200% for me, and I'd be running spools or mini-spools if they made them for these axles. If/when I install D44's and 5.38 gears, I'll have spools front and rear. Ultimate performance, reliability, and predictability with performance onroad and off.

I guess they figure there is not enough of a market for them. It's not that they are weak or cause breakage, they will make an axle last longer than auto lockers.

You would think the mini-spool would be easy to produce for our axles.
