My 98 Wrangler keeps stalling

I just bought a 98 Wrangler Sahara and on the way home form the dealer I stalled out on the side of the highway. The engine doesn't completely cut out, but you can't go any faster than 20mph our it will stop completely. However, even when you go slow you can only go a few blocks and then it stalls again. It only seems to happen after driving for over 30 min and seems to be solved by putting fuel in, but it happens no matter how full the tank is. I had the crank shaft sensor replaced and it worked great for a day and then started stalling again. It's in the shop again, for the third time, but I was hoping someone might now what is wrong. The mechanic never drives it long enough to experience it and I think he is going to stop believing me soon. Help!

sounds like you bought someones elses lemon? tell the service rep. you paid for that certain repair, and it's not fixed and you want it fixed! call the mfg 1-800-853-1403. try going to another dealer explain in detail the problem. find out the predious owner of the car. was it doing it with him? put lemon and dealers name in the window. tell them your going contact your lawyer, and news media. keep your notes dates, and when you talked to them about this. this is war! COMPLAIN! tell the dearlership you want your money back if it's not fixed! give them a dead line and a date.

Fuel filter may be clogged. Cat converter may be clogged. Both would allow engine to idle fine, but not sustain any speed or handle heavy acceleration. Fuel filter is cheap and easy to fix. The cat can be checked at a muffler shop.
