lost fuel

Yesterday leaving work my carburetor stop getting fuel, pump was running but nothing coming out of the line. After fiddling with it trying to figure it out for a while I pushed it backwards into a driveway. All of the sudden I smelled fuel really strong and was able to start it with no problem and made the hour and a half trip home without a problem. Don't know what it could have been.

Sounds like something got sucked into a filter. After sitting for a bit it more than likely backed its way out. This has happened to me a few times and left me scratching my head. I finially dropped the tank and found that there was some junk in there that was getting sucked up into the sending unit.

That's what I was thinking, I just did a new pump, lines and filter. I'm thinking something went up the lines and jammed up in the filter. When to angle that the jeep was on changed it was able to free itself.
