Jeep Trailer???

Tail gate on both end is a cool idea. I will look into that. The bending of the frame is one of the ways I was thinking about going. This should be going down next weekend hopefully, I will let you guys know how it goes.

My son...

I'd hack it at the firewall. it would look so much cooler and give you some real usable space. I'd put half doors on it and leave them workable for easier loading. If you really want to have fun, leave the windshield on it and install a soft top....

Now that would look confusing going down the trail...

That's exactly what I was thinking  . Put a cheap soft top on there and have an 'enclosed trailer' . Now that would be sweet!!

all good ideas. I am going to the Danbury, CT jeep show tomorrow and I am hoping someone has one there to take a better look at.

It depends on what kind you get that determines wether the hook and pintle are noisy. Some are tighter than others.

Good point, eighty-eight!

My experience with the pintle-style hitch was during my time in the Athenian Army during the Peloponnsian War.

Things have improved since then.

A Bronze Pinte hitch no doubt.

Some good ideas are going around here. I like the deal with a tailgate at each end. Maybe two CJ style tailgates that fold down instead of swing out, then they could be used as extensions to support long loads, like if you had to carry some 2x4s or something.

A friend of mine started to make a trailer out of a full length tub but he scrapped the idea after he saw how it would look behind his Jeep, plus it would have been alot longer than something you would want to pull through the woods.

Now I want to build one......
