I'm wondering, how many drain plugs does a YJ have. I see the two in the front seats, but are there more? It looks like there might have been some that were welded shut. -Joe[addsig]

My 95 just had two... I made two more in the back with a 1 1/2" hole drill and some tube caps.[addsig]

All the drain plugs sets i have seen have had 15 plugs. That seams a little high.I would only see the use for four drain plugs. Two in the back and two in the front.[addsig]

Their are atleast 13 holes in my 89 YJ. I think the welds your talking about are actually rubber seals if you look up from the bottom of your jeep you should be able to see where the plugs are. I found that a great replacent for the factory metal plugs are a plastic body plug with a diameter of 1 inch. You should be able to pick these body plugs up from your local auto parts store of auto body supply store. I think I paid around 30 cents a piece for the ones I got. I also found the easiest way to remove the plugs if you aren't planning on keeping them is to take a screwdriver, place it in the middle of the plug, and hit it with a hammer, this will make them come out much better. Hope this helps ya
