Help in developing new compressor

We at Sun Performance are trying to develop a new line of compressors. We are currently focusing on the the design and performance specs. Let us know what you would like to see.

I don't have the current performance specs. I'm waiting for a prototype to come in for testing

This is what we have so far:

We would like to give the people what they want. Your comments will be taken into consideration of the compressor. Your help is greatly appreciated.

How about a Pressure regulator that can be manually set by the user to a certain air pressure and a gauge. Also a removable handle so the user has the option of hard mounting it anywhere in the Jeep and have an extension for the hose.

I like the braided hose.

Here's what I don't like about my current (very cheap) compressor:
It get's real hot while operating, so I can't put it back in the plastic case until it cools down (maybe I can, but I'm afraid the plastic case will melt) I either have to wait, or put the hot compressor in the back of my Jeep. Some type of heat resistant case would be good.

If the Shinny stuff cost more, i'd say loose it. go with a natural aluminum finish instead of polished if that's the case . if it's chrome, just go with black steel. if any of these would help offset the cost to make the equipment more reliable and dependable AND affordable, i'd buy it.

Looks like the handle is removable, very slick. I also like the braided hose with the removable fitting on the end so it could be plumbed to a tank or OBA system if needed.

The gauge is for the pressure produced by the compressor.
How about an adjustable relief valve, one of the pains of airing up is kneeling and watching the whole operation, yawn! An adjustable relief valve and you could hook it up and when the relief valve popped, you'd know your done. Or if you get distracted and the relief valve pops, no harm no foul. I realize this could also be accomplished with a pressostat, but why make it any more complicated or sensitive/vulnerable than it has to be.
You could even install a check valve and the adjustable relief valve after it and use the adjustable relief valve to air down. Something you could hook up quickly and not have to stand there and watch it.
Maybe not as standard equipment, but as a accessory package.

I already have one like the top compressor and you have to be careful not to forget about it or it will wear itself out by overheating on really large tires. I recently figured out how to get around the high heat problem by adding a water jacket that can be filled by canteen and then dumped before putting the pump away in it's box.

(I'm an armchair engineer. I submitted a re-design plan of all the major intersections in Seattle that are causing traffic backups that will increase traffic flow by 20% for less money than adding new lanes, but the politicians dismissed it as being "too simple to work!")

put a gauge somewhere in the line so you know what pressure your tire is at and so you wont have to keep taking it off and checking
