Fuel filter.

I changed my fuel filter yesterday but I couldn't use both o rings in the biggest plug on the filter. It only had a small small space left to slide down before it would lock. I took the top o ring out and it fit. Just one problem it needs the 2nd ring to run properly. Is there a special tool I need to buy to push it in the rest of the way?

I got a different filter and it went on fine. Now it runs very ruff and is giving me a code p 1763? It ran fine before i changed out my old filter.

Are you talking about the filter/ fuel pressure regulator that sits on top of the fuel pump module?

I changed just the reg fuel filter that's back behind the driver side rear tire. Bolted to the under carriage nothing else.

Slips out of gear easy to then changes gears at weird rpm's like it's the trans mission

The fuel filter should just slip onto the line and lock itself on the plastic retainers. If the filter doesn't snug onto the lines or it's too tight, it's likely to be the wrong filter. For the shifting issue, check the fluid level and condition. If the fluid is dark in color, you might want to service it with a new filter fluid and gasket.

Sorry about all the confusion. Last week I had the guys at pete's stop motor company in Pinellas Park replace my radiator. They tried charging me for a bunch of crap and give me a big run around to find out they didn't get all the air out of the cooling system, like where the water pump is. I also just found that they never screwed one of the hoses back in that goes to my transmission. Hinse my code p1763 the transmission pressure sensor. I can't get to the hose with out pulling the main hose to the radiator:(... I always seem to pick the worst places to fix my vehicles. I should prolly just man up and pay the dealerships high prices in stead of looking for deals. Thanks for all your help anyways.
