Dang Death Wobble!!!!

Limit yourself??? Like limit yourself to a steady wheel??? Come on! A softer ride and great flex at the expense of a death grip  on the wheel at highway speeds? No tanx mon!

New and Improved is sometimes neither.

Highway sppeds = 80 on the TJs. I know you Leafers aren't used to that much "GO" but we are :P. And the Death Grip is Only 45-50 :) then it subsides and I am ready to burn . . . Gas that is LOL. 31's DO make a difference on MPG.

Limit yourself???...................Not to Hi-Jack this thread I will go to the "What's wrong with owning a TJ?" thread and finish.

My YJ will do 80. 2.5 with minor mods, 5 sp, 4.11 gears, and 32's. She'll slow down to 70 up a good hill, but on level to a moderate upgrade 80's no sweat. That's one of the reasons I wont re-gear. 0-80 no wobble. I almost never drive over 70, not because I can't, because it's just plain irresponsible in a lifted Jeep.

tj = trail jeep???

i drove a tj with 33's and a 5 inch lift (now 7 inch) and 4.56 gears. it topped out at 105

Is that what the speedo showed or is that the actual corrected speed?

Who in their right mind would do 105 in a Jeep

Any TJ owner. They apparently can't roll over and are impervious to any highway mishaps. Wow.................The wonders of a coil spring.

Tried for the last word did ya???

I suppose it IS your thread. Something about a Wobble?? Heck I can't remember now. Some TJ flaw that is trying to be covered up with any excuse but the truth.

You ain't slicing my CJ it's made with real metal. Now go out and annoy your neighbors buy making Snapple top sounds with the thin metal fenders on your Jeep.

 8)

yea i know, it was stupid and i wasnt thinking. to answer bounty's question it was what the speedo showed with teh new, corrected speedo gear installed

Don't Wanna Do It!!!!

you right, you probably wouldnt want to slice a CJ, heck you wouldn't even have to. With all the rust on those things these days, you could just pick the thing apart. So heres the question, real metal, or real rust?

don't worry about it Mxpx. They are talking about a wobble that happens at speeds that they only dream about. ;) On the trail they got nuthin.

Rust................................... Yea it's a pain. Not on mine thank god. They are all going to rust away someday. Thank god we can replace everything bumber to bumper two or three times for one nicely equip TJ. Or just build three perfect CJs for three different uses. After all I ain't gonna be around for 150 years. :D Actually I will just make my CJ perfect. And when the TJ becomes "Limited" or "inferior" I'll buy one too. That way my CJ will be worth a mint and my TJ will be my beater. Some of us have money, some of us are smart, some of use have money and smarts.

you like those littel "Classic" Plates doncha?? I can picture you riding along in a 57 Chevy with a duct tape Wing and white smoke clouding the Interstate.
