Thanks for the input. I intend to put a Edelbrock 4bbl manifold and performer 4bbl carb on the engine, so the intake will definitely come off, as will the pan.
Need to check the Clutch Trans and Xfer case as well. No sense of droping it in if they need parts.
You heard of anyone doing this engine/trans/xfer case in a CJ5? my concern right now is the length of this assembly. Without the Jeep in my garage, it seems I can bolt the u-joint from the Xfer case directly to thr rear diff.
Guess I'll see when the Jeep arrives.
