Checker Plate Install Help

my jeep is getting rusted under my doors along my rocker panels i was going to clean it up and install some checker plate in under my door the full length to my fenderf flares. i was wondering how do i keep the plate on do i bolt it or will some silcone and rivits be fine??

Sounds like you're looking for some rocker guards. Take a look at this:

Personally, I like something more along the lines of body armor (true rock sliders that you can use offroad). I've got something like this:

Make sure to get all of the rust out before you put your diamond plate on though.

Covering up the rust with diamond plate or a rocker guard will only make the rust worse and will accelerate the rot. best bet is to get some rockers from JC Whitney, cut out the bad area, replace with good metal, get it solid, not really pretty then put on a rocker guard or cover.

Oh and Bolt on. Silicon is ment for boobies and bath tubs
