Broken steering stabilizer braket

I'm not sure if anyone else has ever had this problem, but last night i was taking a left turn and felt something brake loose, i knew it wasn't good but didnt know exactly what it was. It ends having a horrible time getting it all the way home, but when i finally get it there i look under the jeep, and find that the steering stabilizer braket has completley busted off the axel, (the welding was just completley broken from the axel itself)!

ANYONE--- HELP!!!!!

You can get it rewelded, I would think, OR install an aftermarket damper with the clamp-on type brackets if there's room. I put one of those on my Dodge truck and one on my M38 - they have both been fine. Best of luck - John

If the axel side broke, I would try to reweld; if it is the drag-link side that broke, I would use a couple of U-bolts and make a plate in the same way that aftermarket steering components use (mine looks like this).
