Okay (breathe)....man I am pissed. Good news is my transmission is being sent today for sure and should be here in a couple days. Bad news is I decided to clean out the garage today and get all the old parts and junk out of the way so everything can be clean when I install the new transmission. Well I decided to roll the jeep out of the garage so I could sweep under it. Well I rolled it out and started to sweep when I noticed something on the ground...looked like some kind of connector....under closer inspection my worst fears came true....it was the connector that holds the 4 vaccum hoses to the transfer case. The hoses had been ripped right out of the base of the connector....now I don't know which hoses go to what...or even if I can replace the connector. The connector must have fallen out where I taped it up and gotten under the tire when I was rolling it. I know bounty hunter has the diagram showing the routing....but how can I find out which hoses go to what holes on the transfer case (there are 4). BTW for those that do not know this is a 95YJ. Oh and BTW $*%^@(#$^%(@#$%^@(#$&(@#%^@)#$@!)#(%^^%$^%#@(*$@#^%@#%(@#^@#^^#@$@#$@#)#**!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...okay I feel better now.[addsig]

Okay sorry for the outburst....I know that 2 lines go into the shift motor on the axle, one is a breather, and one goes to the intake. I probably can glue the connector back on....but I need to know the locations where the 4 hoses enter the case so when I put it back together my 4wd will work. All I need is for someone to look at their connector and tell where each hose hooks into it. Here is a picture of the connector from the end that goes into the transfer case...Vacuum Plug[addsig]

I looked at a diagram on my Mitchell's but I cant copy and paste so I will try to describe.

This is for a Command-trac system.

Top hole is to the check valve.

Bottom hole goes to a air vent filter.

left hole goes to the axle shift motor,on the front port side

right hole splits to the axle shift motor on the rear port top and a check valve.

hope this helps

Thanks berettajeep...I'll have to check that. I think I got it fixed already though. It was simple and I should have thought of it right away. The hard plastic hoses did not come "out" of the rubber conector...they broke off right where they come out. They left the barbed part of the hose inside. To find out which hose goes to which hole I pushed out what was left of each hose from each hole and found out which hose the broken part came from....cuz they all broke a bit different...I just looked for the edges to line up. I then stuffed the hoses into the holes that they belong in...I'll glue them later.[addsig]

if your vacum actuator is busted why don't you look at replacing it with a posi lock cable actuator... wont freeze up on you, no vacum lines to worry...[addsig]

I have looked at the posilock systems before and they sound good...if I had $200 to spend I would get one but I am pretty much broke right now. I fixed my vacuum system though....my actuator and motor are fine...always have been. The plug that holds the 4 hoses to my transfer case was disconnected when I removed the Tcase and transmission. When I moved the jeep the connecter that hooks the 4 hoses to the tcase was ripped off. Not knowing what hose goes to what hole was my problem. I figured it out though and got it all hooked back up. Whether it works or not will yet to be seen...I'll have to get my replacement transmission and my transfer case back in my jeep and all hooked up and everything so I can go out and test it. Right now just waiting on the transmission...its coming UPS and should be here probably tomorrow or saturday.[addsig]
