97 TJ engine swap...

well i was going to get the whole drive train out of a chevy truck so the only adapter that i would really need is the engine cradle and a transmission mount,? alwo i was planing on using the computer and wire harness from that engine, wouldnt that work? or is tehre something im not realizing?

go with a chevy 350 and a 700r4... that transmission can be put in anything, it is a hydraulic controlled transmission, no electronics

do they still use the 700r4 trans in 98? thats the year truck i was gettin everything out of

they DO use a 700r4 still... but an electronic version under a different name... not the best choice unless you are an electronics expert

ok thats cool are those transes in the newer trucks? I need something thats at least my year so i can pass emissions here in the city.
