    Electric Fans

1060015 morgster, i spoke with a tech rep at flex-a-lite who recommended to go with the most draw as possible such as the 2800 cfm (think i mistakenly said 2200 earlier) - as big a unit as you can squeeze behind the rad. As for your posting, one thing noticeable without the clutch fan is the...

    fan clutch replacement...

1060603 nate, we've had a fairly extensive conversation on the merits of electric vs. clutch fans. good reasons for either. i'm partial to the electric and installed a 2800 cfm flex-a-lite black magic on my 92 yj 4L with excellent results - so far. i honestly can feel the engine 'spin' easier...

    Axle oil drip?

1060605 akeyonedrop, sounds like your rear cyls are leaking. easy to distinguish the brake fluid from the rear gear oil - gear oil is real thick and smelly (i like it, though) while brake fluid is not nearly as bad smelling and much thinner. if it's the rear axle seals, that would mean that...

1060610 JeepGirl, one of those universal muffler mounts for a couple of bucks may do the trick - has the bracket, clamps and rubber isolator. any idea why this happens? your engine probably has too much power and is blowing your tail pipe clear off your rig. :-O michael [addsig]

    a.c. pump

1065900 i understood you to say that the bolts wouldn't budge, then you add they're free spinning. what are they doing? not to be silly, but are you certain that all the nuts are off? hey, this happens. if they're stuck, it may very well be the steel bolt has fused itself in the hole from...

    ok jeep problem again.

1065902 the alt and batt are a married couple. if one goes out, the other will carry the burden until it too fails. once that happens, either unit that carried the load will have been stressed. if you can, replace both at the same time - cables and all - this way you will have a reilable...

    Anyone make bumpers?

1065903 joop, making your own bumpers is the way to go. wish i still worked as a welder - i could have made mine free just with the scrap. the tubing will be amply strong if you use the steel and the weight will also help out steady your ride. it's a little harder for inertia to jerk that...
