    Jeep YJ seat bracket???

I'm 6'4" too. I can't imagine sitting higher. I already can't see many traffic lights b/c of how the windshield frame/visors sit in my line-of-sight. Its pretty annoying; I have to duck down to see when the light turns green. I think my seat goes all the way up against the roll bar when its...

    What are these?

I have the stock carb and it definitely has a return line. I'd recommend finding what your return line is hooked to.

    What are these?

I have the one towards the front of the engine in my block but its not hooked to anything. I know that it is a temp based vacuum switch. I think it is called a CTO and is supposed to turn on the vacuum to the charcoal canister when the engine gets up to temperature. I think newer 258s have...

Need general info on a CJ 7

If you aren't going to build it up big, the 76-79 quadratrac cases should be fine. If you think you are going to do axle swaps, etc, down the road, stay away unless you want to replace the transmission, case, and axles all at the same time. The passenger side drop of the rear output / rear...

    CJ Brake Booster

I am having a hard time finding a new booster for my 79 CJ-7. Apparently 82-86 models were different b/c you can find boosters for them all over the place. Does anybody here know what the difference is? Can I use the available model without difficulty? I need a new master cylinder too. Mine...

Denver fights global warming, hey Mingez!

Methane in landfills is only good for the people that collect and sell it. Whatever escapes is a pollutant. The article says "methane gas from landfills is a major contributor to global warming." I had no idea. Even so, I don't know what removing recyclable materials from the landfill would...

    Al Gore

I thought the point of putting these anti-missle installations overseas was that they were closer to our enemies and therefore we had an earlier warning and better chance of knocking the missles out. Detection systems would have a more complete view. My understanding that the protection of...

My 00 XJ is not loose... It's normal for an old CJ, but not a "new" XJ. You need to check that out.

I have seen motorized or cable driven (can't remember which) versions of those online. If you are into that, it would be way better to hit a button instead of crawling under and removing those screws...

    Rotor Problems

I don't know about 01 TJs, but I know 01 XJs came with two slightly different rotors. I know b/c my old roommate bought the wrong ones one time. They were close, but didn't fit quite right, just like you describe.
