    CJ7 tub weight

I don't know what it weighs, but I can tell you that with everything removed and completely bare, one person on each side can lift it up and walk it off the frame without killing themselves.

    16 valve?

There's no such thing. 1 intake and 1 exhaust per cyl.

    Jesse vs Don Imus

What amazes me, beyond the obvious racism, is that these people are stupid enough to say this stuff in public. I am not a racist, but I have to believe that if I was, I would be smart enough to keep it to myself. Everybody nowadays knows that that stuff doesn't fly!

What to do with my top??

When I lived in an apartment, I built a loft for my bed and threw the CJ hardtop underneath. Sure, its a little ghetto, but it worked.

    Recent mods to my YJ

I'm impressed. Where did you find the Waggy axle? I have been thinking of trying to track some of those down for my CJ... quadratrac version.

    CJ5 fuel tank

What other size could it be? If all else fails, do a little math... Calculate the rough volume of the tank based on outer dimensions. You should be able to come up with a good enough estimate to tell between two different sized tanks.

    CJ5 Parts

When you break down and buy something, go jeepdoc.com instead of quadratec. They are stocked for CJs, the same parts, cheaper, and fast delivery. I bought tons of odds and ends from them when I rebuilt my 7.

    Mounting Jeep Tub....NEED HELP

Me too, believe me. I am not the kind of guy that puts stuff together and ends up with extra parts... I am pretty sure I searched around for it and even contacted the folks I bought them from. The CJ tub had some support brackets that attached under the cargo/rear seat area above the gas tank...

    2008 Libby ... better

Looks like they slapped a Commander nose on a Dodge Nitro. I still like it better.

    Mounting Jeep Tub....NEED HELP

I bought a universal kit for the same project and had those left over as well. Never used 'em. As for bolt lengths, I can't tell you. Check the lengths of your old bolts and buy some extras at the hardware store at that length and longer; return the ones you don't use. That's what I did.

    86 cj 7 360 swap

I am pretty sure you'll need new motor mounts going from the I6 to the V8. I'd suggest taking the V8 and leaving the rest. I have a 79 qtrac CJ and this drivetrain design is just different than the rest, making it difficult to swap parts. The trans, case, and axles are all odd so swapping one...

    Cj7 78 quadratrac vacuum lines

Any of the CJ manuals (Haynes, Chiltons, etc) should have it.

    Cj7 78 quadratrac vacuum lines

You could also look at a diagram for the transfer case to see which way the shift rod is pushed to engage the emergency drive.

    Cj7 78 quadratrac vacuum lines

I have a part time conversion kit (previous owner) but the stock Quadratrac is a full time 4wd transfer case. The emergency switch locks the center differential in the case putting it in a part-time 4wd mode. You are never in 2wd with this case. If you drive on pavement in normal mode it...

    Flatscreen!!!

Unless you really want a wall mountable TV, I would highly recommend DLP. The picture quality is excellent at a much lower cost. I got a 50" Samsung 1080p last summer and its great. It weighs less than my old 27" standard TV and its only a little over a foot deep. The layout of my room is...

Trade in your hybrid for a hummer and be more environmental

Very interesting articles. I had been wondering about this concept for a long time, but had never seen it reported.

Painless wire harness for cj5. Good or Bad?

I put one in my 79 CJ7 2 years ago. It was not painless, but not painful. There must have been a few differences between different year/package CJ7s because some things on mine had to be customized. I remember some difficulty with the neutral safety switch and ignition wiring. Its a good way...
