LOL....I thought Wrangler Bling was things like adding gps, lights, winches, etc. I will say that I added a few things that y'all would laugh at but it makes my life sweeter. I added an inverter so I could plug in my coffee pot and to power my laptop which is loaded with great mapping software.
I have two other gps units. The cool one is the Pioneer AVIC N-1. It has a 7 inch monitor that pops out of the unit, so it's recessed normally. It has the capabilities of playing any cd plus television. A separate video circuit that I installed, leads to a infra-red camcorder by Sony. When in this mode, I flip on my Light Force infra-red beams and run the jeep with all lights off while watching the monitor. Another piece of bling that I have is a 1941 Bantam trailer with 2 Engels 65 quart fridge/ freezers for when I go on long trips into the middle of nowhere. BTW, my type of jeeping is strictly adventure. I've done all the normal jeeping yrs. ago. Some more bling would be a 4 battery system with a souped up alternator that I built.
I have A.C. electricity coming out of the alternator as I bypassed the rectifier by building another circuit. I added aux. fuse boxes under the hood and at the trunk area. Made a ground circuit running thro the jeep that is grounded to the frame. The other 2 batteries are in the trailer and they are all yellow tops. The 2 batteries in the jeep have Warn connectors attached, let's me connect with ease, things like Warn jumper cables, my air compressor and a drop cord I built with Warn connectors to feed the trailer. Saving up for an onboard welder also.
Wrangler bling? I have a summer outfit and a winter out fit for my tj with sliders for the half doors. The c.b. and ham radios installed could also be considered bling. Almost forgot to tell you, I got internet too. Installed 4 small fans that mist the jeep with bug repellant so when you stop to admire the view, the skeeters stay away. I can hear you laughing now! LOL
Another piece of bling I installed, Staun inner bead locks. Heck, I hate changing blowouts in the woods. Now, I don't have to. I just wait till I get to a road before I do that. I have a green tj, so I installed rock crawling lights. Because I use alot of electricty, I'm running green led's and can put them in strobe mode for when we have our mountain parties which is weekly.
I added an I-pod that connects to my system. Now I have a zip file on there that has all of Napster's music which is about 45,000 songs. Love that I-pod!
I'm gonna stop but there's more! But what else would you expect from a New York City native that has gone country? In May '04, I traded in my Eldorado etc for a Rubicon. I was hooked so I pimped out my tj....
Some people laugh .......but I'm enjoying my second childhood!
