Wondering If I have "angry sparrows" cv and if so, what do i need to buy to fix it
Within the past couple weeks, I've notice a slight squeak coming from my jeep ('05 Wrangler Unlimited), when going over bumps in the road, even small ones.
It doesnt seem to occur until 10 or 15 minutes into driving, and it sounds like its coming from about every angle of the car.... sounds somewhat like the small sound of zippers rattling together. It's almost unnoticeable until you start paying attention. Like i said, it doesnt happen until i start driving around for about 10 minutes or so.
I've greased every bushing there is, with almost several in the front, and 4 grease points on my skyjacker lift kit.
I sprayed silicon spray on the shock bushings, etc,
but I'm quite worried it's the "angry sparrows" of death that causes the CV to blow out the transfer case.
Just some questions... if it is angry sparrows, would it be the front drive shaft, and what would i need to buy to get it fixed to keep it from damaging anything?
I also have 2nd owner warranty left on my Jeep, until 70k miles (i only have 44k on it now), and/or 3 years left, whichever comes first.... if it is angry sparrows, would a Jeep dealership consider fixing this under the remaining powertrain warranty?
any thoughts would help
