RE: Jeep Interior lining. Looking for a decent product?

I have recently found a cj5 with, what, I believe to be a 6 inch sua lift on it. What I am wonting to do is clear 35's will the springs fit or will I have to fab hangers.
My bad I have an 88 YJ. All I wont to do is clear 35's. My stuck springs are junk. I thought if the springs would fit I would take all the leafs out of them but 2 and SOA the jeap. Is this a bad idea ? Should I just leave the springs alone and not go SOA.
The cj5 is junk or I would just build it becouse I also need a trany for my yj.

RE: Re: RE: you ever feel like your being followed

The YJ used a wider spring.

Your stock springs would be a better choice for doing the SOA, and they'll net you around 5" of lift in that config. If yours are in really bad shape, stock YJ springs are not hard to come by as folks are lifting their rigs all the time. I have given away 2 sets myself ;)

RE: 87 Cherokee 4wd not engaging

Question: If your transmission is bad then why are you even worrying about a lift and tires at this point?

Twisted is right, the YJ used a wider front spring than the CJ. The rears are all the same.

RE: Pics?

I am going to get all of my pparts to build my jeep the way I wont it.
trany, axles, moter, fuel inj, lift, tires and wheels when I have all of my parts together I will start my build. the thing of it is I have little money and I am trying to find what I can from donner trucks.

I hear ya. May be best for you to buy a wrecked out Jeep or other salvage truck. You will probably come out cheaper in the long run.

What year is the CJ5? None of them will work, but the 76 and newer would be easier. I wouldn't do it, the wider spring of the YJ rides alot better, especially with lift springs. I think all you would need to do to install the narrower CJ front spring is to use some CJ style spring eye bushings, CJ spring plates down at the axle, and CJ shackle hangers.

What engine is in your YJ? If it's the 6 cylinder, then the CJ transmission could be made to work in your YJ rather easily and you could use the stronger CJ transfer case with a passenger side front diff, if you plan on swapping axles anyway.
