Yeah the first time I watched it it was muted so I didn't hear the guy say that... But the driver may have taken the advice too literally.

At least he was okay though.

You see that creek to your right.... Avoid that lol I hate when people yell out what to do as they are standing on the side of a trail. Nobody knows the capabilities of your rig better than yourself. Only Thing I listen to is my spotter and that little voice in the back of my head that says maybe not a good idea.....sometimes.

Good spotters seem to be few and far between. Usually someone of dubious quality deems themselves official spotter and begins yelling out stuff to the group.

I feel bad for the guy. I've done plenty of stupid stuff, and made my share of mistakes, but none have been that expensive. On a different note, how much do you think it would cost to fix that up?

I'd guess something like $6K, assuming the frame / driveline / engine were all ok.

If I was in that position I'd fix it up to be off-road only, probably no roof, new roll cage, no fenders. I'd be as cheap as possible with it. A lot of DIY projects would be put into it. No windshield...etc...
