What ya think?

I've been working on a shorty front bumper design for the past couple weeks and this is what I've come up with.......

Its a C-channel design that mimics a stock front bumper. Its been cut to 44", kept the same height, and trimmed at the corners for more clearance. For added beef, the bumper is composed of 1/4" thats been bent to slide over the frame horns. The ends have been capped and 3/4 pull points where added for recovery. The pull points are a modified "T" (or atleast thats what I'm gonna call it) and are inserted though the back of the C-channel. The "T" part the pull point is to large to pass though the bumper so in theory it can't be pulled off. The pull points are also welded front and rear.

Let me know what you guys think. I'm planning on marketing them for $130 sand blasted and with self-etching primer already done. This is the first one, I'll blast it as soon as it quits rainning around here.

I'm also thinking about upgrading the pull point to 1" thick from the 3/4".

I like it. It looks clean and simple, great design for a more open aproach on the front tiresI wouldn't worry much about the eyelets though. Seriously, if that 3/4 inch. is insufficient, you got something else thats gonna break. Oh and clean up after your done making a mess in there, lol, J/K.

Looks good!! I built one like it for my old YJ but I used 2"X4" square tube and capped the ends.

The one on my 3B is 16 gage cladding over a 2X4 c channel.

looks sweet, did nearly the same but used 1x5 box tubing, then used 3x2 angle stock for the back, top and bottom to connect into the frame. I did use 1 inch for pull points on the front since that is where you do most of the snatch recovery from.
