WHAT do I need?

If i convert my manual 4.2 258 to an automatic what is EVERYTHING I would have to have??????

Why would you do such a thing? Your gonna get less horsepower to the wheels, get less gas milage... and less fun drivin it!
My guess is that you would need less than what you need to convert an auto to a manual... you may need a different transfercase... do automatics use the np231?

Befor I would do that I would trade for an automatic jeep. Don't ruin a good manual transmission jeep just find one. Luck to you on the fix in the end. tug
