It must have taken alot of work to convert an S10 into this:

CUSTOM S-10 12 CYL AWESOME RIDE - $17000

So, anyone gonna make him an offer?

Thank you for posting up this item for sale. No , I am not interested in buying it but there is a point to be made here which I believe is possibly why it was posted. What would you pay for a vehicle ? Obviously , this S-10 had a LOT of work , money and time put into it . That alone constitutes justification for commanding big dollars for its acquisition. Being no expert , I won't even try to estimate its value. But in the case where one is searching for a CJ5 or 7 in good and sound condition , what would you pay for it ? If a CJ is tricked out to this effect with expensive mods then the price is sure to be astronomical. But if it were just a simple restoration bringing it back to ORIGINAL condition , then should it command prices such as this or close ? This is a question I've asked myself many times for some time now. I fully realize that the CJ is no longer in production and haven't been for over 30 years so that alone makes it hard to find in good to excellent condition . It is a desirable model that is very popular until today and will always be . But when you see a restored CJ in factory original appearance asking prices of $10.000 to $20,000 , you ask yourself " how could that jeep be worth so much ?" Especially when jeeps of similar or close condition aren't commanding such prices. It's been said that something is worth what you'll pay for it. Does that mean supply and demand dictates the price ? Just my thoughts.
My post on this thread warrants a tread of its own so I opolgize if I went off in a rant on pricing on something that has nothing to do with the original posting . I will say though that similar projects have asked much higher prices than $17000 so it's probably not way out of line. I'm hoping that someone will see my point and not just elaborate on CJ's but on the market itself.

I am not interested in purchasing it either....I'm not even sure I want to look at it.
This goes to greg92jeepxj's question/comments. Custom cars are an art & as with any art the beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I can appreciate the work & money involved but that doesn't mean I like it. The difficulty in pricing car/art is the value is different than utility value. I would love to own a pristeen old CJ5, but reality tells me it wouldn't stay pristeen if used as designed. So do I want a museum piece or a work horse. The vehicle may be the same but the price I'd be willing to pay may not.
