which is better to use for me to get more out of my beefy 2.5L engine. :wink:
throttle body spacer or a new intake with cone type air filter.
 

if you want functionality, as well as performance... snorkel it
 
TB spacer will work well WITH an intake. I'd do the intake first. Wouldnt buy the K&N FIPK though. The Airtube from rusty's offroad is pretty cheap and works well to get you the cone filter.. or i've heard a k&n filter in the airbox works well..
 
good points guys but you must consider two things
new engine = $1500.00 OR K&N filter = $45.00

I am a college student, on a TIGHT budget. he,he,he,he,he, lol guys. :wink:

I've got Rusty's airtube and conical K&N, best single improvement I've found for the 4banger. More power, and quicker throttle response.

Then do the 4.0L throttle body and 4.0L TB spacer as time/money allows.

Don't forget the performance exhaust, engine has to be able to breath out as well as in.
 
you can go with the electric fan mod... it helps dramatically..and i think the universal flexlite kit is just around $100 at our local autozone
 
sell your front and rear seats on ebay, sell whatever top you have on ebay, sell any body mods you installed on ebay. hopefully you then have enough for a new bigger engine. then, borrow a bucket, staple a couch cushion onto it, superglue onto floor, and there you go!

seat belts dont work to well without a back, lowes sells aftermarket 2X4s to screw into the back of the bucket.

how funny would that be
