My vacum motor on my YJ has s**t the bed. So I heard of the Idea of puting a manual flip switch in the jeep. Any Ideas on how to do this. Help, I miss my 4wd.

Posi-lock cable or I have a brand new harness I will sell you ....:)

idle speed gone nuts

Nice mod Tug, I just bought the 4x4 posi-lock kit and started installing it. If I had seen this sooner I would not have bought it.
I keep pulling the vacume lines off when the pass side drops when I am on the rocks. The vacume system is not a good design once you lift an XJ.

Going to do tugs system next week, posi-loc is about $200.00

They will work just have to hook up a couple of wires ...make sure to cap the vaccum port on your T-Case...:)

The 4 wheel drive light is a vacuum switch, so if you left the vacuum lines at the T-case alone, it should still function

Another idea would be to mount a Normally Closed push button switch by the shift linkage to turn on the light when the lever isn't in 2HI.

Just a thought

Yes.....

I installed a manual vacuum swtich to bypass the switch in the transfer case, allows operation of the disconnect when in 4wd, and welding of the front diff for more traction and selectivity.

Took about 20minutes with very little fabrication, switch is even from a Jeep :D
