Vacation update

In Wilmington NC right now. Just got back from Myrtle Beach visiting a friend at their condo. Headed to Florida in the morning. Its gonna be different for me seeing the sun set over water from a beach. I get to burn the other side of my body now. 3 days of the sun blasting on my right side has me lookin pretty funny. Gulf of Mexico here I come.

I never realized how many mustangs are down here. At home, 1 in 5 cars is either a civic or a cavalier. Here, 1 in 3 cars is a mustang.

I have found out that I am quite redneck for being a yankee. I've also found out that our northern sarcasm is just not understood around here. I make sure to take full advantage of that

Just be careful in Northern GA, being a northerner. We pulled into a gas station around 3am with our NY plates and yankee accents, man did we get some nasty looks. Maybe I shouldnt have been wearing that "Down with the Confederacy" t-shirt...jk

Well, some of the youngins found the scent of some doe... Their hormones influenced them to stick in this area. No more Florida for me. I'm addicted to work, and I can't stand not doing it. I think tomorrow I'll see if some landscapers want a hand for a day or two. How ridiculous is that? LOOKING to work while on vacation????? Oh well, dad gave me good values. Having a great time here

Sounds familiar. My dad gave me a good work ethic, too, and I've often taken vacation just so I could get some real work done somewhere else!

Me and a buddy took a road trip down to California about 10 years ago. Lets just say we ended up at a gas station at 1am in a part of town where white folk aren't very welcome. I had no problem with them but they sure had a problem with us being there. Lucky for us a cop pulled into the gas station. He asked us if we had a death wish for going there. He escorted us out of that part of town.
