Okay! We all have one... What's your ultimate... All the money in the world to spend on your jeep... Wish list? Everything you want done! With or without costs it's up to you! Pretend everything you write down you'll get for free! I don't care just let me see it!

I really want this tire carrier!

Then there's the river raider snorkel...

I plan on keeping my stock bumper just since its light and packed full of features (a cut out area for a winch... Attachments for stingers, etc... But I wouldn't mind a stubby bumper. This is a nice conversion kit to get the best if both worlds.

So that's mine so far... What about you guys?

Mine is for to run perfect. Never breaks down, never needs works, and is eco friendly. And can climb hills like nothing.

I like the look of a lot of jeeps that look like they rolled of an accessory line...but as for mine I like to keep it simple...I would want a winch...and new tire carrier like the one in the pic from scubadude...and some neopreen seat covers......OH and the most important thing...a hitch reciever for a basket to haul deer I get during archery season.

First off Scuba, I dont recomend this type of carrier, I have seen the damage they do when you try to climb something steep and slide back down...ugly!

If I can change...start off with a shortened Dana 60 up front, throw a 14 bolt on the rear with 5:88's locked of course, Tera-Flex's LCG kit streched to 114inches, with 6 inch lift fox coil overs, sporting 24/36 stroke. LS Gen 6 with a 700R4 and an Atlas 2 with 5.7:1. The list could go on and on...but the rest is already on my jeep so I have just a few things more to add.

I kind of like him the way he is, but every time I add something, I find something else I want. Right now I want ARB air locker. Someday I want to upgrade to 35" m/t (idk what brand I'd want for sure), but I currently drive him on the road and the gas mileage is bad enough. I'd like Warrior Products rock sliders - they are hot and will make my boy look even sexier.

Utah- what kind would you recommend! I am not a huge fan of mounting the cans on the side...

This is why we share our wish list, so we don't get burner later.

I am slowly working towards my Ultimate Jeep. Within the next month or 2 I hope to have my suspension redone with XJ rear springs on all 4 corners to creat about a 106" ish wheelbase. Next will be a 4bt (with some power mods) attached to a NV4500 (the OD will be useful) ending in a STAK Monster Box. 42inch IROKs on Trail Worthy Fab H1 bead locks for tires and wheels.

Some day, yes some day it will be ALIVE!!!! MUAHAHAHAHA

.
This style of tire carrier has one draw back....back into anything or slip on a incline and it destroys the rear door and both sides of the tub, as it pushed both sides of the tub outwards and dented in both mounting points, last time I saw this the guy said it was close to 6K of damage.
I dont know what to recomend if you dont like side mounted jerry cans.

As much as I love my YJ, I would get the 4dr JK with a 6" suspension lift 1" body running the biggest Super Swamper TSL I could fit on Mickey Thompson Classic II bead locks. Detroit locked Dana 60's front and rear powerd by a GM 6.5L Duramax Diesel and the NV4500 trans and a (need to research) heavy duty transfer case. I would have a snorkle, stubby front bumper w/ winch and rear bumper w/ tire carrier and some nerf/rocker guards. I would top it off with reflective orange paint so it would scream "yo" lol. I think thats it.....

i would like a fuel injected 302, stronger rear axle, recaro seats, lined interior, air conditioning.

no outside mods, i want a sleeper. it looks like a stock jeep but smokes all the honda guys

(as you can tell, the honda street racers are my arch nemesis. its a hang over from my autocross days when those dudes wanted to run off the track. i would kill em off the line and then they would take the turn off before the end of hte reace because they were losing. then they could tell all their buddies they didn;t race so they weren't embarrassed about a four door 80s bmw kicking their ass. all those times they turned off shows the lack of honor a lot of those street racers have and makes me want to stomp them light to light even more.)

Isnt the mount reinforced? Why wouldn't that happen with any carrier?
It is, but you have to look at it as to minimizing the damage, compared to the carrier. It is the reinforcing that is the main problem. When it hits something, something has to give, in this case its the tub that moves. Being forced in and side ways as the carrier spreads. This forces the tub to buckle along the sides near the rear tire well.
The off the bumper style has a tendencyy to smash in the rear tail gate if hit, a little more and you pull in the sides. At least with off the bumper styles you have a little room till you start racking up dollar signs. No method of mounting your spare is perfect, its out back with a hit me sign. I like the look and additions room the swing out has, plus with the tire protecting the jerry cans, but seeing the damage caused by a failed assent on a steep rock...

Hate to pull this subject back up but do you think the tire carrier would work with the aev corner guards reinforcing the tub?

Like these

I've got a bunch of stuff in my in my man cave for that'll add a smile when I get added on. Time has been a limiting factor. So no.1 on my list would be TIME to work on it. From there, A locker for the rear, Dana 44 front and rear conversion. A set of 33x 14.50's in an all terrain, my seats re done in neoprene, A good rebuild kit for my tired 304 with top notch parts from Bulltear and other quality suppliers. A tubing bender so I can tweak the full cage I bought a bit. Some paint and enough beer to finish it all up.

Since were dreamin' I'll make out a list for my Scrambler, it'll be much longer! Lol
